i think if you join these groups to help you get off of them then they may proscribe you marijuana, then get you off of that. i think there is also another type of pill they give you to help with that, some type of liquid i think

I believe that they give methadone to get you off of heroin. However I don’t believe that they can easily get you off of methadone. It is a legal prescribed alternative to heroin. But you are still addicted to something in most cases.
Here is another newer medication that can get someone off of heroin. Buprenorphine.
