EFT = Emotional Freedom Techniques using simple tapping on various meridian points (a kind of adapted acupuncture or acupressure technique) combined with acknowledging what those things are that make you feel stress and clearing them.

I haven’t personally tried it for addiction, but I’ve known some practitioners who have worked with people suffering from addictions, and have reported success.
I’ve used it personally to overcome a particular fear and it worked really well. One EFT session worked where many therapy sessions did not.
